Brighton Bottanicals

Here I am, near Hartland, New Brunswick, home of the worlds longest covered bridge (can you believe it?). Pam was waiting for me yesterday in Fredricton when I got off the dinkiest plane ever. Seriously. There were twenty people on it, and no tv screens, and it shook and rattled. Oh my goodness, I thought we were going to go down in the Bay of Fundy. The lady sitting beside me had a drastic bowl cut and ruby lipstick. She had a warm smile and therefore I felt comforted and I liked her.
Pam took me for supper at a truck stop (mmmmmm) and then she gave me a scenic drive, and, oh! the hills. It's really quite lovely here. And because I am tired and words escape me, let my describe my surroundings for you in pictures:

Pam's mailbox. It looks like it says 70 percent.

The rustic farmhouse on the hill. This thing was build in the 1800's.

The greenhouse porch. It smells divine.

I think these are osteos. We transplanted a bunch of these today.

The living room. Now that is what I call wallpaper.

Lilacs in my room.

The view from my window

I went for a bike ride on Pam's supercycle with the fatty tires.

And I biked down this trail. It goes along the St. John river.

I like this bridge. It's pretty, don't you think?

I did not post pictures of my room or the gardens to give you a reason to look at my blog again.
But before I sign off, I would like to introduce you to my new favourite creature: Baby Kitty!

Isn't she precious?
Also, I ate fiddleheads today. If you don't know what they are you should look it up. They're delicious.
I have to go to bed now.
Goodnight.

  2. I really like looking at fiddleheads, but I've never eaten any. It's weird to think that when they grow up, they become poisonous (right?) Thanks for the pictures - I love them. And your writing. I don't need suspense as a motive to keep checking your blog; I'd check it regularly anyways!
