I woke up to the sunshine peeking through the great blue clouds above the hills and I knew it would be a lovely day. It was terribly windy. Pam hates the wind, she says it messes up her energy. But I love the wind. Maybe it's because I'm from the prairies. Anyway, we had a relaxing breakfast and then got to work. We worked a plot (Pam has numerous small garden plots) and then planted sunflowers.

Little baby sunflowers |
Much of the afternoon I spend on my knees in the cucumber plot, weeding and preparing for planting. When I was a kid I really despised weeding, but I find it quite satisfying now. When you're all done you feel like you have really achieved something. And when you pull out a weed with a big long root it's as gratifying as popping a giant zit (is that too graphic?).

You see all those white posts? Well, I weeded all around those. You should have seen it before. |
After a supper of
fresh asparagus that we cut today, I went for a walk down the trail by the river. And so now I present to you.... my walk:

On my way out of Pams yard

 |
I found a little cemetary by the river.
|
 |
I do love exploring cemetaries
|
 |
And behind the cemetary: the river |

A little barn on the trail. This picture gives you a good idea of the rolling hills.

And when I got back, I laid in the sunset. After which Pam and I ate ice cream with strawberry sauce and almonds and coconut and flax seed. The best.

And I almost forgot!
Baby Kitty!

Rolling amongst the lettuce. |
Oh how I love Baby Kitty. There is also a ridiculously energetic puppy here, Buster. I love him too, and he loves me when I scratch his hind quarters. I'll introduce you to him the the future. And show you my room. Oh, there is so much to do, isn't there?
Well, take care.
Love: Auntie Mandy of Hartland (Heather you better be reading this because that was for you).
